Warner who?
I am a full-time freelance illustrator/artist. My current focus is in the Toy and Collectibles industries where I design, sculpt, and illustrate. Some of my clients include Hallmark, Spin Master, Hasbro, Disney/Pixar, Nickelodeon, Bad Robot, Sesame Workshop and Mattel.
I was raised and have spent most of my life in the south eastern United States. I’m a proud a graduate of Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) and majored in Illustration. I began my career in Cleveland, OH with American Greetings as a staff illustrator at the age of 22. After a few years of learning the ropes of illustrating professionally and the world of commercial art, I moved back south to Savannah to freelance full-time and to be closer to family.
For the past 30 years I have worked as a freelancer illustrating children’s books, designing/sculpting toys, collectibles and general commercial illustration in both 2D and 3D. I have created tutorial/training videos on 3D and have written several 3D articles for various 3D magazines including the cover for 3D Artist Magazine. I have conducted on sight training of 3D programs for Hallmark’s 3D artists. I have taught art, drawing and illustration in Charleston, SC at Trident College. I have illustrated over 80 children’s books and have designed and sculpted hundreds of toys and collectibles.
My beautiful wife Ginger and I created a side art business named McGee Planet where we design, create and sell laser cut acrylic jewelry, fun retro stickers and artwork.
I’m fortunate to have a loving family that supports me and what I do. I have 2 boys, a loving wife and many cats. We enjoy our place and love calling Savannah our home.
